Book Review: “Greater” By Steven Furtick

I finished Steven Furtick’s book, Greater, a few days ago. I have struggled in what to say in my review. My momma always said, “If you can’t say something good, don’t say anything at all.” The publisher gave me this book to read and review; therefore, I must say something.

As I read this book, I constantly felt this tugging inside that the author wants to encourage a “health and wealth” theology, but was afraid to come right out and say it. So, he dropped casual hints…I hope I am wrong.

As a church planter, I did appreciate the glimpses the author allowed the reader into the planting of Elevation Church in North Carolina.

Another strong plus is that Greater is about Elisha. I have always been intrigued by Elisha. I believe Greater gave me a deeper appreciate for God’s power at work in Elisha.

There are strong spots throughout the book. Don’t take my word for it, check it out here.

I received this book for free from Blogging for Books for this review.
